In Search

While googling, i came across this interesting post which i presume would be a great and certainly never ending topic of discussion. I thought this would be the best way to start this blog. Written by some Dr. Michael, it is an opinion about God and Soul and their connection. Here it goes. 

MANY have looked to the Heavens for answers and instead found only themselves. They have assumed that no God exists. In so doing, they have discounted that they were part of the entire universe as an eternal soul, one with the cosmos and of all life. If any person held this truth or any concept of spiritual understanding, they were allowed to perceive them for as long as they chose. The Source of all understanding and truth does not judge anyone for their choices. All are merely allowed to be - much like the Creator just  is... remember the 'I Am' meditation. The non-spiritual pragmatists and atheists, the non-believers in God, the eternal afterlife and the nature of our eternal soul - all fail to perceive nothing but themselves as physical. To them, these eternal relationships and concepts have no meaning and thereforeothers that believe in God or religion have deluded themselves. To them their vessel, their body, while seemingly empty, is full of their soul, yet they perceive nothing but their own physical form. 'We do not have a soul. We are a soul. We have a body.' says Irish writer and scholar, C.S. Lewis, author of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

When one tries to define himself or herself, one finds more than flesh and bone, they discover also that they possess a thinking, nonphysical mind - one that transcends the dimensions of the physical brain. Further, using that expansive mind, a person can perceive the soul. To do so, one need only to notice the energy and feel the presence of the invisible soul among the sleeping individual and - by sheer contrast - notice the absence of the soul presence in a living, but comatose individual. That perceptible energy is a soul. An observer can feel the soul presence of life leaving a dying individual and the soul presence that enters a newborn. One can also feel the soul presence of life in houseplants just compare them to plastic, but identically-appearing houseplants. The soul is real. And, the deeper into the soul one perceives he or she will find ONLY God, just as those who try to perceive the entire universe and come to the same conclusion, God is the universe and the universe is God. We are all a part of the tapestry of Source. The universe is very much alive and expanding...
